Year 5 Leadership day

Today the year 6 students were out of school so the Year 5's got to play being the big kids at school. We did a few leadership challenges, played some games and made some presentations about our school values.

Makey Makey in R4

We have been developing some games using Scratch so today we learned how we can control our games by using the Makey Makeys. This will mean that people playing our games won't need to actually touch our computers.

Last day fun

We had our Banqer auction and made some milkshakes as part of our last day celebrations.

Wearable Arts

Over the past few weeks we have been researching and planning for our wearable arts projects. Today we started making our creations, there were many good ideas and lots of teamwork.

New teachers in R4

Today we had two new teachers in R4. Robert taught the class how to make a card on Scratch and Don taught the class how to make pop-up cards.

 

Happy birthday Rosa

Rosa celebrated her birthday with us and cake today.

Dylan F read this book and then used what he'd read to make a trailer. 

Using our knowledge of angles

Measuring and cutting the wheel supports 

Jett is designing and building a ferris wheel. He has had to use his learning of angles to make the wheel a heptagon (we thought we were making an octagon - oops).

Last day of the Term

Even though it was the last day of the term we were extremely busy today.

Today Mia and Jett helped cook the sausages for lunch. There were no complaints during eating time.
